Hello, I am back.

Helloo fellow bloggers and new followers, if you haven't yet erase me from your blog roll I want to say Hi!!
I know I have been away for a while.

I am back with some news, what started as a beautiful hobby now is my bussines and my greatest passion, I enrolled to school last summer following a dream, and just got my Nail Technician licence from the Ohio State Board of Cosmetology, I am over the moon!.

It has been a long road full with joy, fun, frustration and some tears too. Thanks to all my fellow bloggers for your comments about missing me.

Hola a todo mundo, agradeciendo a mis nuevas seguidoras y a mis colegas blogeras, siento no haber posteado nada ultimamente, pero tratare de ponerme al corriente lo mas pronto posible.

Les dejo unas fotos de "China Glaze crackle " con "Orly Glitz and Glamour", probablemente ya lo han visto muchas veces pero este mani lo tenia en mi cabeza desde el primer dia que supe de el look crackle, espero lo intenten y que les agrade tanto como a mi.

Sally Hansen Salon Effects After 10 Days!

Hi everybody,

This are the new Sally Hansen Salon Effects that I tried, and I am happy to report that I had them on my nails for 10 days! Yay!.

You can see the growth in the pics, not a nice look.

I really can't believe this this is the longest I wore a nail polish on my nails, I did all kind of things (did dishes, cleaning and lifting), and even broke my thumb nail :(, working on my new nail polish stand :), but they just slightly changed color on tips one day before I removed, I think there was some chemical reaction there maybe oil or something that I had been in contact with.

In my humble and honest opinion they are great!, I just wish they could be less pricey.

I was really slow when I put them for the first time I know ^_^, but I am sure I will get faster next time :) (I hope).

Removal was the same as glitter nail polishes in general.

Thanks to all the girls who left the nice comments, I read one comment saying she just put them in 20 minutes :).

What about you, how long did you wear them and thoughts, recommendations?

Mac NC41 LE Studio Fix Fluid " Phantom", my rant.

Hi everybody,

Well yes I've been chasing a phantom, I have been stalking mac online store for 5 days now(day and night) looking for the studio fix fluid in nc41, and this is so confusing, does fluid fix nc41 LE exist?; So it was like sold in front of my eyes? Wtf?

I saw all the raving for January 6th as the release date for Mickey Contractors collection, and I got caught on it, (I hate you marketing people).

So I was there just ready to push the button (rushing adrenaline), and all I saw all the time was "coming soon", every time I click to buy it!.

So my investigation started. I chatted with them, and they told me, "we don't know what is going on with the coming soon thing", please call the 800 number, and I called they say they are out and they will have more in like a month, is that a game??.

What's the big idea mac??.

That was the only product I was so exited about, because nc40 looks white on me, and 42 too orangey.

A the end they just told me (today), "sorry, it's sold out!"

Right now I am just wondering if it ever was for sale?, probably in my dreams.

I am so upset right now, mac will be in the dog house for a while.

End of my rant ^_^.

Les platico que he estado jugando al correle que te pillo con el maquillaje de edicion limitada aqui en USA Mac studio fix fluid nc41, que parece ser una buen aopcion para las chicas de piel bronceada.

Y estoy muy enojada, despues de dias de estar al pendiente para comprarlo en su tienda de internet (fecha oficial de venta Enero 6), me salen con que a "chuchita la bolsearon" y ya no hay.

Osea que enfrente de mi narices se fueron todas, pues que se los crea su abuelita, pues si yo me la he pasado mas de tres dias y noches esperando poder comprarla y lo unico que siempre me aparecia era "a la venta pronto".

Caramba! que coraje Mac estara por un tiempo en mi lista de malportados.

Fin de mi berrinche ^_^.

Sally Hansen Salon Effects Bling-It-On

Hi everybody,

I had the chance to try the new Sally Hansen Effects, I know you girls were intrigued as I was in finding out how they perform.

Well it took me around 2 hours to do both hands, the result was very nice, but hubby told me I can do the same look with plain glitter nail polish ^_^.

I set up my work area, sat at my manicure table-lamp as close as I could to warm up the strips and my fingers, I think some heat is good as it gives them some stretch, but you have to be careful, too much heat can also break them, because they kind of melt :(.

I chose the Bling- It- On design which I thought was going to be like metallic foil paper covered with glitter yay!, but was surprised to find out that they were just a layer of thin plain pink glitter polish.

No surprises here , the box says" Real Nail polish strips" ( I have to remove the minx word from my head) .

The polish strips look a little transparent , but ones in the nail doesn't look transparent at all.

The final result was very pretty and eye-catching as the very pretties pink glitter nail polish, was very difficult to capture with my camera, I took so many pics :(, but they don't do justice.

It is much prettier than it looks, and very very shiny!.

I have to say that I put top coat only on tips to somehow seal the strip, I had some trouble making them stick at the tips of a few fingers, and I didn't want to waste my almost 10 bucks to see them peeling the second day :( no way Jose! ^_^.

Also make sure to clean well the nail plate with some nail polish remover without-oils, to make sure you have a non-oily clean nail bed, I used zoya nail polish remover as a prep and clean.

Today it's the second day , and I am reporting they are still very nice , did the dishes, washed my hands several times yesterday and today and still in good shape :).

I will keep them as they are, and I will report to you how many days they can last on me.

Now my little list of pros and cons for you( my personal experience, and honest opinion);

Pros

They are very pretty , they come in several designs, all very fashionable.

Very shiny.

If you found them BOGO (for buy one get one free), get them!.

Easy" if you practice and have a steady hand", need to place them very in the center to cover all nail bed uniformly .

Cons

Expensive (9.99 plus tax) for 16 strips, so only one mani (what?) for a (box) set.

They came in 6 sizes, the smaller size was too small for my pinky.

The instructions that came with the box are bad.

Work in a warm area, like close to a lamp

Avoid touching the strips with your fingers on the side that make contact with your nail bed, I used a pair of long tweezers, but at the end it didn't work very well so I ended using my fingers just to hold the all strip from the very end just to place it centered .

If you think they are super easy and fast to apply the first time , they are not, so make sure you have plenty of time :).

El dia de hoy les muestro como se ven puestas las tiras de Sally Hansen Sallon Effects, las cuales se ven lindas, aunque un poco tardadas en aplicar, que les parece el resultado?.

El post en ingles es un poco largo, asi que si tienen alguna duda en espanol porfa envienme un emial y les explicare mas ampliamente, la clave esta en aplicarlas calentadas para que se extiendan mejor a la una, por lo que use mi lampara de mi mesa de manicure como pueden ver, tambien eviten tocarlas con las manos por la parte de el pegmento.

Punto malo;Traen solo 16 tiras por lo que solo sacaran un solo set :(.

Punto bueno; Puestas se ven hermosas ^_^, si las encuentran en barata no duden en comprarlas.

New Sally Hansen Salon Effects and Swap.

Hi everybody,

This is a quick post to let you know that yesterday I found a brand new untouched display of the New Sally Hansen Salon Effects at my local Walgreens yay!.

So it is official they are out for sale!, so don't forget to check them out.
I was always curious about minx nails so this is a great alternative, we will see how they perform.

They retail fot 9.99 and they are atbuy one get one 50% off, so I've got this two :), Bling it on (pink glitter) and Laced up (lace) .

I just open the boxes, and it wasn't easy as the label just doesn't open right, and I ended up destroying the clear film using a knife s you can see:(.

Also the first impression is they smell strong it's not a nail polish smell more chemical thing :( weird.

Anyway, as you can see they are so pretty and there are lots of designs, I am sure we will be finding pics of displays very soon.

El dia de hoy tuve que postear rapidito que ya han salido a la venta ''Sally Hansen Salon Effects", que no son mas que delgaditos pedazos de esmalte secos que se adhieren a la una, y que vienen en variedad de disenos y colores, yo escogi dos como podra ver un rosa glitter y otro que parece encaje.

Los compre en la tienda Walgreens, se venden por 9.99 dolares.
Pronto subire un post para ver que tal funcionan y que tal se ven ya puestos.
En otra nota, hice un trueque con You Nailed it!, y ahora ya tengo mi primer esmalte magnetico yujuu ^_^, ella tambien me mando una linda tarjeta que me grado mucho.

Savvy Femme Couture "Garland" swatch and comparison

Hi everybody,

I have a small haul from Sally's using my 15% off coupon, and I had to get Savvy fc "Garland" ($3.99) probably the only jewel of this collection.

''Garland" It's a fabulous vampy green that I thought could have a dupe on my stash, but no ladies, there is not a dupe for this one at least that I know of.

Below pic in the sun.

For a quick comparison check the pics below of the closest ones I own, also I was wondering for a while if CG "Jolly Holly" could be a dupe for Sally Hansen "Emerald City", gladly found that nope, they all are unique.

Check this month Sally's flyer, the Stripe Rites are on sale for $2.99, the asp acrylics are on sale too, so I bought the small liquid and clear powder to play with :).

I also found some Sally girl glitter for .79 cents yay ^_^.

El dia de hoy comparto unas pequenitas compras que hice en Sally Beauty Supply, tenia mi cupon de descuentos mensual asi que lo use y no pude evitar comprarme el color "Garland" de Savvy femme couture, es un color verde vampiresco, muy lindo.

Hice una comparacion de los tres verdes mas cercanos que tengo para ver si podrian ser identicos y como pueden ver no lo son, los tres son unicos.

De izquieda a derecha China Glaze "Holly Jolly", Sally extreme wear "Emeral City", y Savvy ''Garland".

Chequen su local Sallys , tienen los Stripe rite en rebaja , encontre el glitter rojo de Sally girl por 79 centavos,y el asp acrylic esta en rebaja tambien, he comprado el liquido y el color tranparente para experimentar ^_^.

My Crackle experiment, and great news from CG!.

Hi everybody,

The pic I'm showing you today is my last try to achieve a crackle look using a toothpick ^_^, not bad , but really messy :(.

But no more messy tries , I am so happy with the great news from China Glaze, releasing not only one crakle, but six, yes! six colors to have fun with, they will be here in Feb 2011.

Yay!!! Dancing and Jumping ^_^.

El dia de hoy les muestro una foto de mi ultimo intento para lograr el efecto craquelado usando un palillo, pero no mas intentos terminando con pintura por todos lados ^_^.

Pero no mas intentos de palillos tenemos ya la buena noticia de que China Glaze sacara a la venta no solo uno, sino 6 esmaltes craquelados para que los disfrutemos, saldran a la venta en Feb del 2011.

Que buena noticia no? ^_^

Sally Hansen Extreme Wear "Purple Gala"

Hi everybody,

This is Sally Hansen "Purple Gala" from the 2010 fall collection, the pics don't do justice, It's a deep purple base full of gold, copper and silver glitter that looks awesome under sunlight.

This color is so festive, and eye catching ^_^, can't stop looking at my nails.

I've read that there is a close color to this one, and it is Hard Candy " Mr Wrong", I don't own that Hard Candy but "Body and Soulbeauty blog" did a great comparison here.

Este esmalte es ''Purple Gala" de Sally Hansen extreme wear, es un color muy festivo purpura obscuro lleno de glitter oro, bronze y plata.
